Ready in time for the glorious golden tones of Autumn i am excited to release my second preset.
This preset is available in both ACR format and Lightroom formats. It will create a rich, vintage 70’s colour effect on your RAW image. By using a split tone effect you get the deep purple shadows with the retro yellow highlights. This preset can be adjusted in numerous ways by just playing with the temperature, exposure and balance within the split toning.
Here are just a few examples of how i have used this preset with my own images.
I find that this preset works best with images taken outdoors with dramatic lighting such as back-lighting or bright sunshine. It works well on images that have a lot of background and surrounding details. It isn’t really suited to tight portraits or close up faces.
It gives a unique and artistic effect that will not suit all images, but is perfect for giving the right image a bit of zest and character.
