Picking Lemons | Just for fun. Melbourne Childrens portraits

Our lemon tree has literally exploded with lemons these past few weeks so Charlee and i made the most of this afternoon’s sunshine and picked a whole bunch for my mum who will probably make something delicious out of them.

I made the most of the pretty afternoon light and took some shots. I have no idea who’s cat that was, but she didn’t mind us so we let her stay and supervise. I managed to drag Koby out for a few brief minuets, but his only condition was that he could hold Noah. At least he was there, i can’t get enough of that toothless grin at the moment. It’s very hard to keep a strait face when you’re talking to him. LOL

Garden Baby.

Just because the light was lovely this morning and he was being cooperative. :)

(sick of looking at him yet?….i’m not)

Three weeks and growing.

More new bubby-goodness

Two weeks today. He was meant to be born yesterday, I can’t believe he is already two weeks old. I already want to press pause and just keep him like this forever.

Introducing….The impatient one.

Well our little man decided that he wasn’t going to hang around on the inside any longer. On Tuesday the 27th of April, i woke up at 4am in labor. Not at all part of the plan considering i was preparing myself for a cesarean on the 10th of May. I ended up going into hospital that morning and after entirely too many contractions for my likeing (yes i’m a wuss) he was born via emergency Cesar just after lunch time (he was just over 37weeks).

At 6lbs 14oz he is by far my smallest baby (my other to were both well over the eight pound mark) and he is just such an adorable little package. We got home from hospital on Saturday afternoon, and besides a few small hiccups we are settling into life with him well. The kids are absolutely besotted with him (especially Koby who is determined to do EVERYTHING for him and will quite happily sit for hours holding him).

We were a little unprepared, but thankfully my bag was packed and ready to go. We were not at all ready for him to be so itty bitty so I have to go out ad buy a whole heap of smaller clothes (he comfortable fits 00000 but will be stocking up on 0000). I am feeling a bit sore but not too bad, i have to keep reminding myself to take it easy. I think i may have over done things a bit yesterday and i’m suffering the discomfort for it today. But i plan on spending a lot of my time on the couch over the next week or so.

I do have lots of emails to reply to (and a few phone calls to return) so if you are waiting to have contact with me then i apologize. Give me another day or so to get into a routine and i’ll get back to you all. In the mean time i’m off to snuggle the new man in my life.
