Day 66 | You’ll have to speak up, i’m wearing a towel

This shot reminds me of that Simpsons quote LOL, Charlee was in the bath and her best friend Chloe called on the phone to wish her all the best for her first day of school tomorrow. She jumped out and wrapped a towel around herself to have a chat. I thought it was very cute, so grabbed the iphone and took a snap.

I had a bit of a glimpse into the future of them both, showering and getting ready to go out to a party on a Friday night, but still on the phone deciding exactly which party to go out to LOL.

Day 65 | Perfect day for a dip at Seaford

Woke up this morning and decided to spend our last school holidays Saturday doing something spontaneous. So we popped our bathers on and took a day trip down to my favourite beach, Seaford. It was a gorgeous Melbourne day, nice and warm, clear skys, crystal warm water. You wouldn’t have been alone in thinking you were on some fancy tropical island actually, the water was like a warm bath. Naturally half of Melbourne were also there, but it wasn’t uncomfortably crowded all things considered.

The kids had a ball of course (they are both absolute water babies…once they are in you can’t get them out). Overall we spent about 3.5 hours splashing, digging, chasing little fish, eating grapes and strawberries and had a really pleasant afternoon.

Here is the “official” photo for the day, but i couldn’t resist sneaking in a few more as well.

(ps: you might recognize the pier from last years photo a day, which is the first shot in the banner image at the top of the blog)

Day 64 | Soon to be toothless

That front one is just hanging in there…

And a quick shot of the least cooperative one for the morning…trying with all her might to remain cranky and defiant while mummy shoves the camera in her face.

Day 63 | prettiness and the endless battle of good vs evil

Day 62 | mmmmm macro

I borrowed a friends Macro lens the other day (Canon 100mm 2.8 for those playing along at home) because i’m considering buying one. I’m still not 100% convinced i really have much of a need for it, but ooh it’s fun. You can get up super super close to very pretty things. ;)

And cute babies too ( this is Kelly’s newest little man)
