V is for Violet | Melbourne kids portraits

I had the pleasure of meeting up with Renae, Luke and Violet on Saturday. Despite the fact that miss V had only just woken up when i arrived (because i was once again notoriously early LOL - sorry guys) she was giving me giggles and smiles before i had even had the chance to take my camera out of my bag. I just adore this age group, so busy and interested in everything. And this little one was no exception.

Thanks so much for letting me spend some time with you guys. Here are a few favorites from the session, the rest will be ready for you soon. :)

Just in time for Christmas, these short and sweet sessions are perfect for past clients who just want a few recent photos without having to organize a full session. They are also a great way to get a few quick photos of your kids for Christmas presents.

The details are:

  • each 30 min session will cost $50 (max of 5 people per session).
  • there will be only 6 sessions available on the one day (Saturday 3rd of October)
  • normal pricing will apply, however there will be no minimum print requirement.
  • each group will be presented with an online gallery one week after the sessions take place with 15 images to choose from.
  • session fee MUST be paid in advance to secure your time. Session fee is nonrefundable if you cancel. If the weather is bad then the sessions will be transferred onto another date.

Happy snaps | melbourne winter portraits

I took these shots of the kids last week. We woke up and it was a gorgeous sunny day, so i immediately had visions of a series of photos of them frolicking in the sunshine together. Sun flare, warmth, green grass, blue sky… however by the time school was over the clouds had rolled in, the wind had picked up and it looked down right miserable. But that didn’t stop us. Instead or runing around in t-shirts i rugged them up in jumpers and a blanket and we went to fly our kite instead.

Just goes to show that the weather shouldn’t make a huge impact on a photo shoot. Why wait for the “perfect” day to have photos taken when you can capture real moments any time of the year. Perfectly imperfect.
