D is for difficult | Melbourne baby portraits, family portraits

LOL just joking Hazel, he wasn’t that bad.

This is Daryl, and while he was the most serious one year old i have come across in a while he was still adorable and very sweet. We got smiles out of him in the end as well, but i had to be very quick to catch them. We had a great morning together in the Fitzroy gardens last week. Autumn leaves everywhere. It was a bit chilly, and the rain threatened but we made it through unscathed (well mostly..if you don’t count a minor leaf eating indecent followed by some vomit LOL).

Having started out life as a itty-bitty preemie baby, mister D has now grown into a very inquisitive little man. You guys think he is into everything now..you just wait until he starts walking ;)

Anyway, here are some sneak peeks.  It was difficult to narrow down the ones i wanted to preview. I had to stop myself from just posting the whole session up here and being done with it…

(this cute little man is from my session on Sunday. He was the most serious one year old i had ever come across but we got smiles out of him in the end. There will be more sneak peeks of his session later in the week)

Just letting you all know that i will be schedualling myself some time off over the next month so there will be limited session times availible between now and the end of June. I need to catch up on orders and “official work stuff” - that’s my technical term for accounting and all the boring things that i don’t like doing - If you are desperate then i will make time for you but i will not be booking as many sessions as i normally do so it’s better to get in early.

Normal programing will resume in July.

Over and Out.

The H family | Melbourne portraits, kids portraits, family portraits, beach portraits

Hurray! I have been trying to get on here to update all day but the server must have been having issues. Don’t you hate it when technology doesn’t do what it’s meant to do?

Anyway here is a sneak peek for a family i meet up with down at Brighton last weekend. Blake was a little out of sorts on the day, which probably wasn’t helped by the fists-full of sand he was eating through out the hour LOL. Mia was an absolute blast to photograph, so much fun and super cheeky. It wasn’t the sunniest day to be at the beach, but it was probably better in someways because we were able to utilize the bright beach boxes to create some funky backdrops.

Here are a few of my favorites.

I’m getting behind with updating on here, sorry. It’s just been a busy few weeks. Lots of sessions, Lots of editing, lots of general family life stuff.

I WILL make an effort to post about a few recent sessions though on Monday.

And for those hanging out for the results of the first Lift the Veil competition we will be posting the winners up next week as well. We had numerous entries and we have used a random number generator to come up with the two lucky winning couples. I’m in charge of making the announcement post though and it has been added to my to do list for Monday LOL.

I think i’m also coming down with something which is making me feel very tired and run down…whinge whinge whinge… moan moan…

Anyway, can’t post without a few photos so here’s a shot of my kids mucking around…again.

So Pretty | Melbourne Portraits in Autumn

Photobucket

I just ADORE this time of year. Everything is orange, the days are cooler, the sun sets earlier and creates beautiful light at a reasonable hour of the day. It would have to be my favourite time of the year to take portraits.
Here are a few shots of my ratbags, mucking around in a local park.
