Day 31 | The end…kinda

Photobucket

Well i made it. A whole month taking a photo (and some times several) of my family a day. I have done this for three years now and this was the first year where i actually enjoyed myself and relaxed a bit and didn’t stress out about finding something interesting to photograph each day. I’ve just snapped photos of things around me rather than specifically “setting up” photos which has been a nice break. So much so that i am actually - stupidly?? - considering continuing on with this for the rest of the year. Yep…365 days. 365 photos. . .

i am not going to pressure myself about it too much, i’ll just take it one month at a time and see how things go. And instead of posting here every day i’ll just do a weekly round up post. Partly to keep the whole project manageable (i seriously doubt i’d have the chance to edit and upload a photo every single day) and partly to give everyone else a break from seeing my boring family photos LOL…

day 30 | haircut

day30 | haircut

Koby hates having his hair cut. Absolutely hates it. Unfortunately for him his hair grows incredibly fast, which means he has to do this every 6 weeks at least. Sometimes he has a tantrum. Sometimes he actually cries. But most of the time he just sits there with his eyes squeezed so tight you’d think the hairdresser was stabbing him with the scissors and not just cutting his hair.

day 29 | in the Yarra river

Photobucket

We took a drive out to Warrendyte this morning with some of our favourite friends to spend a few hours splashing about in the river. It was a really pretty spot and the kids had a great time walking around and cooling off. I’ll be back later to show off some more shots from this morning.

(I thought i’d come back and point out that it’s Koby in the background of this shot and he is not “releaving himself” as Jodi put it in her comment LOL. He had wet shorts from swimming and was probably adjusting himself, then again he had the habit lately of paying extra attention to that area. Every time i turn around he has his hands down there… must be a boy thing. )

Update:
Well after several power failures later in this stupid ridiculous heat…i’m finally back with the other photos from this morning. The other kids belong to my buddy Dannii, we hang out with these girls heaps because my kids adore them (and i’m quite partial to their cuteness as well - that goes for Dannii too LOL ;) )

It’s ok though, she was over it in a minuet.

If anyone is in the Warrendyte area of Melbourne and is looking for a photographer, i would be more than happy to head back down to this spot, especally while the weather is nice…maybe no quite this hot though LOL

The N family | melbourne family portraits, melbourne baby portraits

Here is another sneak peek for a family i had the pleasure of photographing a few weeks back. We met up at the botanical gardens (i seem to be there a lot lately LOL) and had glorious weather.  Much nicer than the stinking hot weather we are having at the moment…can you believe it’s 43 degrees! and it’s meant to be the same tomorrow…yuck.

Miss Claudia was just adorable and so placid and happy. . . even when i decided to sit her in the middle of a flowerbed. Most kids would have squirmed and cried but she just took it all in her stride and gave me a few smiles to boot. What a trooper. ;)

Anyway, here you go Peter and Li-hisa, i will have the rest up in a gallery for you in the next few days.

day 28 | summer is here

Photobucket

It’s going to be 41 degrees here in Melbourne today so i thought i’d get in early with the photo, quite a challenge when the whole house is closed up to keep out the heat. We also have to take Charlee to have her four-year-old immunizations this morning as well, so i’m going to make the assumption that she will not be in the mood for photos later on.
