Sweet little Samuel | Melbourne baby portraits

I had the pleasure of meeting up with some past clients of mine. There is nothing better than seeing families grow over the years and being privileged enough to come back and photograph them again.

This sweet little bundle was just over a week old and so so soooo tiny. Proud big brother Finn (who i photographed at the same age here) was a very proud big brother and a natural show pony in front of the camera (when he eventually woke up enough after his nap).

I will add that i think babies just don’t like to sleep when i’m around. Like the last newborn session i had, Sam didn’t really feel like sleeping. I must be just too much fun, so they don’t want to miss out on the action lol

Little bubby goodness | Melbourne baby portraits

Here are some more images from the session i did last weekend with bubby Joel and his family. I photographed Joel’s big brother Zac when he was a newborn as well (he is the baby with the fantastic mop of black hair on my website) and it was a pleasure to come back to photograph their newest bundle. And what a sweet little bundle he is. He didn’t really feel like sleeping, too much going on. Instead he spent most of the session with his eyes wide open taking everything in. We made the most of the sunshine and headed outside for a bit, unfortunately the sunshine was very deceiving and we ended up back inside defrosting ourselves after only 20 minuets LOL (darn Melbourne weather).

Anyway. I had a lovely time with Anita and Steve and their family, and it was a great way to get back into the swing of things. Here’s some of my favorites from the afternoon. :)

Hello Bubby Joel | Melbourne Newborn Portraits

Just a sneak peek of a litle man i met this afternoon. More shots from this session to come later, but this one was just too cute to keep to myself until then.

12 weeks (nearly)

Right now he

- has started to give great big grins and even little giggles.

- follows people around the room when you move.

- hates “tummy time” and only tolerates it for a few minuets when in a good mood.

- LOVES playing with his toy gym, keeps him entertained for ages. He also quite likes watching TV, so much so that I’ve had to turn it off when he is in front of it or he just stares at it the whole time.

- is still feeding every 3-4 hours but sometimes he is nice to me and stretches the night time feed to 5 or 6 hours.

- has finally moved out of 0000 and is into “big boy” 000 clothes.

- ADORES his brother and sister. He saves his best smiles and most enthusiastic giggles for them (and the favor is returned with equal enthusiasm).

- is totally adorable in every way and i could eat him up completely… starting with his cheeks.

xx

Garden Baby.

Just because the light was lovely this morning and he was being cooperative. :)

(sick of looking at him yet?….i’m not)
