Now with twice the fun | Melbourne Child portraits

I had the pleasure of originally photographing this family about 3 years ago when their little princess (Grace) was just one. I was very happy to be contacted by them again a few weeks back to say that they had a new little princess (Mia) join the family about a year ago, and they wanted me to come back.

It’s always fun to see how much kids have grown between sessions. Miss Grace is now a big Kinder girl (and has the most devine naturally wavy hair on a 4 year old i have seen in a long time - i would seriously commit a major crime for that kind of natural body and wave). And Mia was such an adorable little pixi, so cheeky and willing to be in front of the camera at ALL times.

V is for Violet | Melbourne kids portraits

I had the pleasure of meeting up with Renae, Luke and Violet on Saturday. Despite the fact that miss V had only just woken up when i arrived (because i was once again notoriously early LOL - sorry guys) she was giving me giggles and smiles before i had even had the chance to take my camera out of my bag. I just adore this age group, so busy and interested in everything. And this little one was no exception.

Harvey | Melbourne baby portraits

I had a lovely session this morning with this sweet little family. Here’s just a few quick sneak peeks. This little man kept us all on our toes, i don’t think he stood still for longer than 3 seconds for the entire 2 hours we were together. Such a cutie though, those chubby cheeks remind me of my son when he was a baby.

Mini sessions #1 | Melbourne kids portraits

Over the weekend i held my, what will hopefully be the first of many, special backyard sessions. I think they were very successful and i’d like to thank all the families who came over. I had a great time and i’m pretty sure all the kids enjoyed roaming around my yard ( and i know my kids enjoyed “helping” me that’s for sure).

I would love to make these sessions a regular event (especally once the nice weather returns in spring) so if you think you might be interested let me know and i’ll start compiling a list now.

Anyway, here are some sneak peeks from the first family who came over on Friday afternoon. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t as nice as it was on Saturday but we still managed. Here are some of my favorites, the rest will be in a gallery for your soon Katherine

Pretty miss L | Melbourne childrens portraits

This little sweetheart’s mother was lucky enough to win a free session and print credit in a raffle recently. I donated the gift voucher to help raise money for a sick little boy. Our first attempt at a session was postponed by myself because i was feeling a little under the weather. But we met up finally last weekend and were lucky to have such a beautiful morning at the Botanical Gardens. Miss L has just begun to walk which provided us with a very familial challenge of trying to get her to sit long enough for me to get her attention. Poor mum was stuck walking around and around and around on the spot for most of the session LOL… too cute…

Anyway here are some of my favorites, but seriously i’d be hard pressed to get a bad shot of this kid…one word…stunning!
