Harvey | Melbourne baby portraits

I had a lovely session this morning with this sweet little family. Here’s just a few quick sneak peeks. This little man kept us all on our toes, i don’t think he stood still for longer than 3 seconds for the entire 2 hours we were together. Such a cutie though, those chubby cheeks remind me of my son when he was a baby.
Thanks again for meeting up with me Melissa and Stewart, and i’ll have your full gallery ready soon.

Get Heartfelt | Charity Event

Photobucket

I have been a proud member of the ACOCP since 2006 and i am very excited to see how much this great charity has grown in the few years it has been in action. For those that don’t know, the ACOCP is an entirely-volunteer service that provides family portraits of children that have been stillborn; died neo-natally; are terminally ill; or have been born very early.

To help bring further attention to this fantastic charity, in the hope that more families will be able to benefit, the ACOCP has organized an exhibition at MLC Gallery, 449 Harris Street, Ultimo NSW.  It is free to the public and the showing features 20-30 images of the best of 153 pictures submitted by proud ACOCP photographers with the blessings of the children’s families.

This exhibition draws together family portraits, which display the emotional sensitivity and awareness of these highly skilled and proficient photographers. The images, often taken under difficult circumstances, both technical and personal are warm, beautifully detailed accounts of family love.

There will be a silent auction and celebration event auctioning custom portrait sessions from some of the leading lifestyle and custom portrait photographers in Sydney, and press night on Thursday, 25 June at 6pm.

It will be held from Monday, 22 June 209 to Saturday, 4 July 2009. If you are in the area please take the time to go and have a look at some of these fantastic images.  Being that it is interstate and my son and I are both celebrating birthdays that weekend, i will unfortunately not be attending. However, here are two of the images i have in the exhibition, Emily and Patrick. It would have been fantastic to see them printed up and hanging in the gallery, but for now i’ll have to use my imagination until someone can send me a photo LOL

Meet Jayden | ACOCP session

I was originally contacted by Anna over three months ago, she was hoping to have a complimentary photo session with her son Jayden on behalf of the ACOCP. Well one thing after the other went wrong and we had to postpone over and over again. You would not believe some of the things this family has had put up with over the last few months on top of everything else that’s going on LOL….But finally we got to meet on Monday at the Botanical gardens.

Jayden is 8 and has been battling cancer for the last few years. He still has a long 2 year fight ahead of him before he will be given the all clear, and will most probably face a long list of complications resulting from his treatments to date.

Meeting amazing spirited people like him is why i love my job so much. His happiness was contagions and all three kids were just a blast. This family have been through so much and yet they are still so relaxed and happy. Not to mention up for anything. It was a pleasure spending the afternoon with them.
