Autumn in the city | melbourne family portraits
June 1, 2013 – 10:12 am
Hi, it’s been a bit quiet around here lately because i have been super busy with lots of different things. I have been busy photographing lovely families but i have also recently begun a Diploma of Graphic Design which is taking up a lot of my spare time. I am really excited about the potential career developments that will spring off from this and i’m so enthusiastic that i have completed all of the work and assignments for my first module only three weeks into the seven week allocated time LOL. SO i’m moving swiftly on with the next module and using my spare time to catch up on some blog posts.
This gorgeous family met up with me a few weeks back in the lovely Fitzroy Gardens in Melbourne. The leaves were starting to go orange and drop off all the trees and we managed to avoid the rain by a whisker.
I’ll be back soon with another recent family session.

It may have been a steamy hot day when i met up with these guys but we didn’t feel it, instead we were shaded by the lovely gum trees and cooled our feet off in the river. It was lovely.
Thanks again for letting me spend the afternoon with your gorgeous family Jen, it was a pleasure as always and i hope you love your photos as much as i do.

I must admit, i am an old soul. I would have fitted in perfectly during the Victorian era, spending lazy afternoons sipping tea in the garden and gossiping. Cloud Hill nursery in Olinda is what i imagine one of those classic, rich Victorian gardens would have looked like and it is one of the prettiest places to photograph. In fact i have decided that if i ever happen to get married again i think this place will top the list of locations (are you listening darling partner of mine?…you’ve been warned lol).
However this weekend it was not a wedding i was photographing, but a lovely family who i last photographed about five years ago. My how they have grown…as children often have a habit of doing.

These are some favorite shots from another recent family session. A gorgeous new family utterly smitten with their little princess, as they should be, look at those beautiful big brown eyes.
I have been without the internet for most of this week due to technical problems so if you are waiting to hear from me via email then hopefully I’ll be all caught up by Monday. I’ll be back later in the week to show off another gorgeous family i photographed this weekend.
